Be Relentless

When we look at ourselves and our life and whatever situation we are in, what do we think about it? Are we proud of it? Are we disgusted by it? Are we disappointed in it? If so, what steps, have we taken to make it better?
Have we spent time in study? Have we plunged deep, shedding light into the black waters of our soul? Have we asked ourselves questions about our own actions? Have we questioned ourselves relentlessly? Have we worked to change the habits and patterns that we formed over time? Have we seen why these habits and patterns have formed in the first place? Have we seen and understood how the situations that caused these things in us formed in the first place? Have we seen the patterns and habits of others who may have traumatized us? Have we looked deep enough to understand that what we have experienced in the past no longer has to dictate our present? Have we taken responsibility for ourselves? Do we still believe that our fantasies will magically come true without us putting effort into it? Have we spent the time needed to question how to change our lives into something that reflects who we actually are?
All of these questions speak for themselves. Nothing will change until we begin to ask them. The drama and chaos will never end unless we ask these questions of ourselves, unless we take the actions we need to to change those things about us that we do not like…unless of course, we prefer a life of overwhelm, depletion, chaos, pain, and misery. Yes, there are those that prefer this. Is this really what we want for ourselves? If we are spending our time with someone who is that, when will we release them and allow those who are willing, able and already doing the inner work into our lives instead…the healthier ones that naturally show up after we do much of the inner work that we wanted to believe we didn’t need to do.
