Flying Monkeys & Their Smear Campaign

She left, knowing she would not return. She made the critical error of verbalizing it and saying why. What followed was a carnival of focused hate and sweeping attempts to destroy her self confidence and her reputation, commonly known as a “Smear Campaign”. The Flying Monkeys (staunch, manipulated supporters and allies of the Narcissist) joined financial, time and network forces to create a powerful onslaught.

Undaunted, she made changes that she knew she needed to make for herself anyway, and leaned into making herself and her life reflective of all that she wanted. She learned that when her Time and Energy were sucked from her from the Flying Monkeys being on the attack, she needed a plan to get her through. She would step into an Internal Refuting Thought Pattern, that is, Refute the Gaslighting, the Lies, and the Cruelty that they used to try to tip her into Insecurity, Self Hate, Isolation and even Self Harm.

She refuted it by telling herself "I Love You" and giving herself a Hug, yes! A Hug! She created a new habit of beginning each day with her first intentional thought being a Positive one. She didn't give up on herself! She left no room in her Mind for the Harmful Words to live. She burned that house down! She built a new one where the things she Loves Live. She keeps them and acts on them. Whatever she Loves to do, she DOES IT!!! She chose to let Love guide her Actions.
