How Did You Get Here? You Were Trained To Tolerate More And Expect Less.

There’s a correlation between the actions of mega corporations and narcissists. Mega corporations depersonalize their customers and their workers… especially their workers. They push them harder and further, take away people in their department, see how much more work you can handle by yourself. They use algorithms to check your pace, to check your ability to push yourself to the ground. They lessen your expected raise every year and put blocks up to make you less likely to ask for one. They make people write their own review, and then use their honesty against them to lessen their raise. They keep them on staggered shifts, one shift in the early morning, two shifts in the afternoon, one shift late at night. There is no reason for this other than that they don’t want you to feel settled. They always want you to experience a slight panic.
Narcissists do the same thing. They disorient. They depersonalize. They use your honesty, goodness and empathy against you. They distract. They chip away at your boundaries and your self esteem ever so slightly so you don’t really notice until… you can do nothing but notice. They keep you up at all different hours or make you get up with their insane hours. They call it normal, as though your hours are not. They call it work. As if you are supposed to suffer along with them. Because you do. When you react, you know, like a human, with emotion… they tell you you are too emotional. Because, to them, everything is too emotional.
They don’t feel emotions like you do. They are more like those mega corporations. Their brain works more like an AI. Except they use and manipulate your emotions to get what they want. They don’t have the power over your life that the mega corporation backing the AI does… so they get what they want by breaking you down, manipulating, and using your empathy and emotions against you.
Where does that leave you? It seems as though it leaves you disempowered, but it doesn’t. You have the opportunity to begin in a place that is not emotional to you, i.e. corporations, algorithms, and AI. When you look at and begin to genuinely understand their tactics, this will help you better understand the narcissist’s tactics as well.
It is a wonderful opportunity for you to be able to witness it and see what it does to you and to others without you having to see what the narcissist in your life is doing to you and others. Because that’s much harder to recognize and accept. There are too many emotions wrapped up in that chaos to want to uncover them all at once.
But you are here to see. You are here because you recognize what’s happening and you want to open up and learn more. You want healing, true healing. So when you recognize more and more of what the mega corporations, algorithms, and AI are doing, there is nothing you need to do right now to attempt to correct it.
The first step is always to recognize it — even if you recognize it after the fact, as long as you recognize it, you are moving forward. The same is true about the narcissist. When you simply recognize their behaviors one at a time and break them down to see them plain as day, this will begin to empower you.
Every time you see more and recognize it faster and faster it will empower you more. Because understanding what is actually happening is the first and most important step in healing. What they do is already written about in so many survivors’ books, it’s shocking to see the consistency across the board.
The behavior of the narcissist in your life is no different than any other narcissist. They may use slightly different scenarios, but the tactics are all the same. Learn those and drill them into your head, and the insights that rise up about your life will be profound.
You will finally begin to realize that, no. It wasn’t all your fault.
