Interrupting The Cycle

So many people want to feel better or more special than others. This is especially common with social media but it extends into everyday life. When people condescend to each other this is most often a frustration with themselves or their life in some way. Trying to make themselves sound or look better than the other person helps them forget what their life is really like. So next time you are on the unfortunate receiving end of condescension; with compassion, take a look at the person and let it drip right off you. If you think of it again, later in the day, do the same thing. This practice helps dissipate negative thoughts that would have been completely absorbing you otherwise. When you approach it with compassion and understanding, the door to Peace and Calm swings wide open.
