Life Is A Waiting Game

Sometimes, no matter the time or effort put forth, we just cannot complete the project when we would have liked. Frustrating as this may be, this is exactly the time that we can utilize the tools in our Trauma Recovery Chest. Boxed breathing, soothing our Inner Child, releasing expectations, being gentle with ourselves, these are all things that can help to bring us back and center us once again. Remembering that Life is a waiting game can allow us to simply put the project down and come back to it tomorrow. We only have so much and when we push ourselves too hard, we may only be backtracking on our self care and need to step on the brakes. The wonderful thing is that we can choose to learn from this as well. Learning how to create workable timelines for projects instead of completely unreasonable ones is an important lesson for those of us who want to accomplish our goals but also to thrive in every area of life.
