Make It Worth It

What do you want your goal to be? Because it’s important to understand that whatever that goal is, it might not come easy. It’s more likely that it will take far, far longer than you realize. It’s more likely that you will spend far, far more energy and money on it than you ever thought possible. It’s far more likely that you will endure block after block, obstacle after obstacle, sleep little and work more, forget why you started and become obsessed with making it work. If you ever reach your goal…because that’s the other untold story…when it never comes to pass at all, not because you gave up, but because it just wasn’t something that could work in Reality. It may have been great on paper, or even better in your head, but Reality had other things in mind.
But if you do make it to that goal, really think about it, is your goal worth all of that time and effort? Don’t make it something that’s not important to you, or that won’t satisfy you once it’s accomplished, don’t make it something that is surface and easy to push over
with a suggestion. Those are not the goals that will ever come to fruition. The thing that has always meant so much to you, the thing that is closest to your heart, nothing else will make it to the end, or if it does, you will be unhappy with your results and continue to chase after the next thing.
