Putting In The Reps On Our Goals

Asking to be successful without understanding what needs to be done and without putting in the work to do it is like asking for a raise after one week of working at a new job. It just won’t happen. The effort is on every level of being. It takes mental, emotional, physical and spiritual energy to be successful at something. Most of us just run around doing exactly the same thing that we always do and tell ourselves, we don’t have enough time to do what we really want to do. Of course, this is insanity. Of course we have enough time! Everywhere I go people are walking down the street not looking at where they are or what’s around them. They are instead looking at their cell phone. They’re probably looking at Facebook Reels or something similar. We all know how much of a vacuum that can be. Most of us don’t even participate in what is tangible and in front of us anymore. We live in a virtual world and easily blast out comments that would NEVER be something we would have the nerve to say to anyone in person. We have become robots instead of humans, fully programmed by mega corporations. We wonder then why we are so angry. When we are so busy wasting our time that we no longer give our time to that which we love. Instead, we are running around, trying to make enough money at the things that we are accustomed to making money at instead of pouring ourselves into our passions. Then, once the end of our shift rolls around, we give our time and power to mega corporations. We are a society of dreamers not doers. Doing has been stripped from us. Live interaction has been stripped from us. We are directionless and when we do have a goal, we’re just too tired to complete it or give it any time at all. Even when we do give it time, we do not give it enough time. The Internet is a place of trillions of people who are all trying to accomplish similar objectives so we must come to grips with this fact now. Anyone that is searching for a job will tell you the sheer volume of people who want what you are applying to. It will take learning several different approaches to stand out in this ocean of people. These are things that we must take the time to learn and then take however much time and persistence is needed to accomplish our goal We must stop giving our precious time to things that do not further us if we truly want the life we dream of.

What is our passion? Do we know what it is? Or are we too busy commenting on other peoples lives? Are we too busy checking our email, getting lost in Instagram or just researching whatever we happen to come across on the Internet? Have we taken the time to ask ourselves what we love and what gets us fired up? Most people are not even aware of these things anymore. Our paths were cut out for us by others in whatever environment we grew up in. The vast majority of people never attempt to go beyond this.

Is this what we want for ourselves though? Do we want what is not our creation? Do we want what everyone else wants? Do we want what the mega corporations want us to do? Do we want what our post happy FB friends want? Do we want what is not our creation? Have we dared to dream something and then got to work on it? Are we dreaming our dream into Reality? If not, don’t we think it’s time to get clear on where our present actions are taking us? We are putting in the reps to something, why not let it be the world of Joy that we truly desire?
