Struggling Forth

Sometimes it’s hard to believe in ourselves. No matter what time and effort we spend pouring the best of ourselves out to the world, it feels like nothing comes back but pain. Unfortunately, this is a common perception (notice the word perception) of those who have been traumatized in any way. Trust is incredibly difficult, trust in oneself and trust in others. The pain can feel so fresh and real when we get into these states that no one can snap us out of it with uplifting, positive talk. It’s a struggle within ourselves instead. Wanting to run away from it all is normal in this situation, though not necessarily the best thing we can do! But it is normal. At these times, we have to take everything we have learned and try again. When we have stopped using our breathwork tools and our somatics, when we have stopped going outdoors and exercising or having a regular sleep schedule, or a regular eating schedule, etc, we have only to remember them and begin the process once again while remembering to look in the mirror and forgive ourselves and remind ourselves how far we have come and "I love who I have become". Unfortunately, it is not always a quick path like so many people try to sell to us. Internal struggle is not something that can be resolved by just a simple hypnosis or healing or a few therapy sessions or even plant medicine, instead it is something to be continuously aware of, and to strive to remember to use the tools that we have learned. Instead of giving up, reach out again. Try. You really don’t know who will be there for you until you try.

P.S.- I deeply apologize for my disappearance, but this thing of wanting to give up, well, sometimes it can take a while to snap out of it!
