Again he tells her how beautiful it will be, when they are married. She flies away, in her fairytale world. He hasn’t even proposed to her, yet, from the first week they met, he spoke of this. He doesn’t see her that much, doesn’t call or text much either. It’s been a year and a half.
With all of the time she is left alone, she satisfies herself with the wondrous future she knows will be hers. She texts him again. But he is busy with one of the two other girlfriends he has that she doesn’t know about. It is always upsetting to her when he doesn’t answer, or when he does, he always seems in a rush, or in a “bad mood”. But oh when they touch! It’s pure magic when they are together. She soothes herself. We will be married soon. The electricity we have together will power us into all other lifetimes. For now, it’s ok, she tells herself. I can be patient, she tells herself. He’s worth it, she tells herself. Like he said, he’s my soulmate.
