The One & Purpose

It takes effort to find the One. This goes for many areas of life. For now, I’m talking about Purpose. So many of us spend years mulling it over in our heads, trying to figure out what our Purpose is. Here’s the thing though, our purpose is always changing just like we are. It’s not just the One thing and that’s it. When we limit ourselves in this way, which many people do, it can actually thwart our Purpose. When we keep holding onto the same thing and refuse to allow ourselves to grow in new directions, it stunts our Soul’s True Calling. Our Soul is here to grow. This doesn’t mean that we have to continuously change the core value or even the core action of what we are doing, it doesn’t mean we must get a new relationship, but it does mean that within those things, Growth is what is always being called for. This includes business, career, relationships, routines, etc. Our True Purpose is Spiritual Growth. This is wonderful news as it takes all the pressure off and allows us to pursue our interests freely. It allows us to try new things and be OK with it if it doesn’t work out as we had hoped. Instead, we are simply free to learn from that and find solutions within it or change direction completely. No longer do we have to worry about if we were put on this earth to sing or dance, coach people or become a hospice worker. These are actions not purpose. These are interests, not purpose. So get out there and explore! Experiment with your interests! This is how we grow.
